Heating the Water
Always use fresh, filtered water. Water that has been boiled previously would have become de-oxygenated and will not help produce a good brew. Water quality is of paramount importance heat the water specific to the tea being used. The guide to the different temperatures required to brew Tea is available below.

Using the Right Utensils
A teapot, infuser and cup add a great deal to the overall experience of your cup of tea. Try different methods and utensils, to find out what works best for you. We suggest a tea set made from porcelain or ceramic, to enjoy a great cup of warm tea.
Splash and swirl the tea pot with boiling water to prepare the pot for brewing.
Brewing Tips
As soon as the water has reached the appropriate temperature, pour the water on to the leaves for the best brew. The best brewing temperature and timings are given below to specific tea types. When the tea is being brewed, cover the teapot to keep the heat in. When the tea is done steeping, remove the tea and stir lightly.
- Black Tea varieties – Boiling water (when the water comes to a rolling boil)
- Green Tea varieties – Below boiling (after water comes to a boil allow it to cool for 2 mins)

ICED TEA BREWING INSTRUCTIONS
Depending on taste preferences, we suggest 10-11 tea bags or 7-8 table spoons for a 2L Jar. Once the brew is complete, pour into a 2L jug that is half-filled with ice.
